Going Underground was the first of 3 straight number 1’s in the UK chart for The Jam. It was released on March 14th, 1980 with the B-side Dreams of Children.

As one of, if not the most famous song by The Jam, Going Underground tackled the way people thought about the current ‘regime’ and how dissatisfied the general public was with the ruling class.

There was no way we could have ignored The Jam’s Going Underground when we were deciding to make our tribute, lyric T-shirts.
