All You Need is Love – 1967
All You Need is Love was released by The Beatles in 1967 and performed as part of ‘Our World’, a two and a half hour show beamed around the world featuring artists, musicians and performers from a number of countries. It was the first performance of ‘All You Need is Love’ and between 400-700 million people tuned in around the world to see it.
As one of, if not the biggest band of all time we had to include The Beatles in our Pop Nonsense lyric T shirts. Here’s a few pieces of Trivia for anyone that wants to know a bit more about The Beatles;
The Beatles have sold over 2 billion albums worldwide.
Despite continuing for many years after, their last live performance was in 1966 at San Francisco’s Candlestick Park.
In Hey Jude, Paul McCartney made a mistake and can be heard faintly in the background saying “oh fucking hell”.
The Beatles had 20 US number 1’s from 1964 to 1970 with their last single ‘The Long and Winding Road’ being their last.
While The Rolling Stones were almost in A Clockwork Orange, The Beatles wanted to be in a version of The Lord of the Rings and wanted Stanley Kubrick to direct it.
