With Stephen King’s IT due for release in September it is a pretty sure thing that Pennywise is going to be a popular Halloween costume.
Despite not being the greatest piece of TV ever, the original 1990 IT is a classic and most Stephen King and horror fans have a special place in their heart for Tim Curry’s portrayal of the scariest clown in film history.
I first read the IT novel in 1995 at the age of 14 and was hooked. I have read it a few times since as well as a few other King novels that delve into the Derry’s murky underworld and I can honestly tell you that I just can’t get enough of it.
As a huge fan of alternative film art I though IT ticked all the right boxes for artists to delve into and I have not been disappointed. Gallery 1988 have an exhibit looking at alternative depictions of Stephen King classics and there are a number of IT related goodies (1990 & 2017) for fans to buy.

We have just focused on Stephen King’s IT here but there are works covering everything from Pet Sematary to Stand By Me and Cujo to The Green Mile.
It is worth noting that a lot of these pieces will sell out quickly but don’t worry we are sure there will be plenty more great pieces popping up over the coming months.
One last thing…we all float down here…
